Here is a sneak peak of the Cover for Book 2 in the Dream vs Reality series. Opinions? The next book should be released in the near future!

And the writing prompt that I will post mine up next week (yours to be added in next weeks post's comments) is:

"Rewrite the tale of Snow White from the view point of one of the seven dwarfs"

You get to pick which dwarf

Ooooh, awesome cover! Me like! :)

As for the writing prompt, it's going to have to be short because I'm swamped. I'm going with the Disney version and I'm starting pretty much halfway through the story because I'm a cheater. :P

"Hi ho! Hi ho!" Happy sang under his breath. "That song always gets stuck in my head."

"Sing it when you gotta, don't when you don't!" Grumpy replied. "Every since that wicked woman showed up you're all dazzled up from all of that purr-FUME!"

Dopey nodded excitedly. Grumpy crossed his arms over his chest. "Stupid singing and dumber dancing," he muttered.

Suddenly there was a frantic explosion of noise. Grumpy turned to see a mass of animals rushing towards the mines.

"What is it?" Doc asked.

"It's Snow White! Snow White!" the dwarves shouted. "Snow White!"

Grumpy was startled. Snow White in trouble? He paused for half a second. "Just because I'm goin' to rescue her doesn't mean that I like her," he reasoned. "She's still a wicked woman." Then he hurried to the back of one of the deer.

The animals were frantically dashing through the trees. Grumpy clung on for dear life. (Lol, dear/deer life. He was clinging to the deer. I'm so punny. :P) "Snow White!" the other dwarves called.

"Oh no," Grumpy thought as they reached the cottage. An old hag stood on the doorstep, cackling. And on the ground by her feet lay Snow White. Her hand opened and an apple, one bite taken out of it, rolled to the side.

The dwarves shouted and the animals charged at the hag. The old woman didn't seem to expect it and started running. Grumpy wasn't grumpy anymore. He was mad. The hag continued to run, reaching the top of a mountain,

Without thinking the dwarves charged forward. Then Grumpy looked up to see the crone applying her weight to a stick. She was trying to pry loose a boulder to fall on top of them. Grumpy was about to shout a warning when there was a bolt of lightning. The hag shrieked as the ground crumbled below her and she fell down the mountain.

The animals returned dejectedly to the cottage. None of the dwarves were speaking to each other. When they arrived and slid off the backs of the deer, everyone looked at each other.

"Snow White?" Doc asked hesitantly, fiddling with his glasses. He slowly walked forward and dropped to his knees next to her. One by one the other dwarves follwed suit, removing their hats and kneeling in a circle around the princess.

Grumpy didn't step forward. He just watched. For some reason, his cheeks were wet. He hastened to dry them.

None of the dwarves could bear to bury her. As Sneezy put it, how could they put something that beautiful in a box? Instead they made her a glass coffin. Grumpy helped Doc and Bashful lay her in the coffin. There they kept watch in an eternal vigil.

One day as the dwarves gathered to pay their respects, Grumpy heard a noise. A man walked out of the trees and towards the coffin. None of the dwarves had the heart to stop him as he approached. The man bowed his head. Then he leaned forward and kissed Snow White's lips.

Grumpy quickly wiped his cheeks again. The mysterious wetness wouldn't go away. Just as he was bowing his head he saw movement. Snow White's eyes fluttered open. And just like that she sat up.

Grumpy nudged the other dwarves and they looked up as well. Snow White was alive! She was moving! None of them said anything for a few seconds. Then the man who had kissed her looked up. With joy Snow White extended her arms towards him and he picked up up.

"Are you crying?" Sleepy whispered to Grumpy.

"Shut up," Grumpy whispered. But this time, he didn't bother to wipe his cheeks. He could go back to being grumpy tomorrow. Today, he could be Joyful.

(Sorry, that was awful. But I've got homework to do so I was rushing the entire time. And it's fortunate I watched that movie recently. :P The part about Grumpy being called Joyful is a weird reference to my cousin who was writing a play in which Grumpy was called "Joyful". Long story. :P)
